Hi Everyone,

Wow, where did the summer go!?! Can't believe it's October already.

Sorry it's been so long since my last post, as you all know life gets busy at times.

So, i'm posting a quick blog post today of a card I made today after work while waiting for the hubby to get home for supper.

As all of you fellow card makers know, it's never to early to start making your Christmas cards, so that's what today's post is! Although I feel like I should be making something for Halloween! lol, but any who, let's get to it! :o)

This card is made with the limited addition Stamptember set from Simon Says Stamp and Lawn Fawn called "Happy Howilidays" (I'll post a link below,[after posting link, they are now all sold out])

I made a quick one layer card today (stamped images) using some masking paper to help me out. So I started by laying out my images to come up with a design that I liked, I find this really helps me to get started!

So I inked up all of my stamps using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice ink and stamped everything out onto some Neenah Solar White card stock, using making paper to make the dog look like it's in the box, and the gift to look like its behind the bone. Then colored in all of my images using Copic markers.

After I finished coloring my images, I then stamp the greeting, and the little "woof" speech bubble. I then cut out a square with some gold glitter card stock (I always like to cut out the center of fancier card stock, you will get much more use out of it, and no one will ever know, lol see image below) then a slightly bigger black card stock square, and then created a square side folding card base out of some gold colored card stock.

I layered all the pieces together using my ATG adhesive runner, I popped the main panel up with some foam tape to get it a bit of extra dimension.

And that's it! Another card finished! (and I did it in less than 30 min's and that is including going back and forth to the kitchen checking on supper lol) I also added a few white Nuvo Crystal Drops to Finnish off the card (not shown in image)

And yes, I made the tree in the background. I'll be doing a post about that in the near future!

Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this post! :o)

(Links provided below for the products I used to create this card)

Thanks again, and talk soon,

Melyssa.
